I thought I had a better scanner. Things are looking busted.

May 17th Drawing
So, I am doing a drawing a day now. It's a summer goal. Although I did a couple drawings yesterday (all topless women with souvenirs from past ... romantic encounters), this was the one that sparked it all. I've been on a Yeezy kick lately. Doodles were bound to come from it.

A Trunk for my Stump
I finished this a few weeks ago, but I'm neglectful with updates.
The original idea of this sculpture was to have the log lying on its side, with the jagged end on the ground and the flattend end resting on the smaller stump. When I made this, a beautiful triangle was created. I really did love that triangle. But it didn't feel right. This also doesn't feel %100 perfect. But I had been looking at these metal trunks for so long, I need to step back and reassess what I have here.
But here they are, completed. Finally.

Postcard Swap
I couple of weeks ago I did a postcard swap with Hannah Kuo. I read about her project U.R.WHERE.U.R. online and felt like participating.
Below is what I sent her, the postcard is of Hogtown Creek in Gainesville, Fl.

Natural History Museum - Ornithology
The ornithology department was probably my favorite department. We looked at penguins, parrots, owls, doves, songbirds, hawks, bones and wings and feathers and beaks and eggs - you name it. The ornithology department prepares their animals the same way the mammals department does.
Yay Science! What a fun experience.
